Kaa is an open-source middleware platform for building and facilitating applications in the realm of Internet of Things.

An integrated solution between Kaa IoT platform and Ubuntu is a perfect mix for a rich open-source IoT platform. Ubuntu is widely-adopted, secure and versatile. Kaa provides necessary power to build IoT systems of virtually any complexity – whether it’s a bunch of sensors or highly adaptable robotic ecosystem. Both Ubuntu and Kaa are rapidly evolving. We deeply believe in the open source approach being a catalyst for global IoT adoption.

Kaa allows companies to expedite a products’ time-to-market, increase performance, and attract customers and subscribers. Kaa introduces standardized methods for enabling integration and interoperation across connected products. The Kaa IoT middleware platform is licensed under Apache 2.0, and is 100% open source without royalties.

The Kaa Project is also behind CyberVision, which provides comprehensive services in IoT software design and implementation, IoT product integration and support.

Open source is what we do

We believe in the power of open source software. Besides driving projects like Ubuntu, we contribute staff, code and funding to many more.
